brillig

I've woken up from dreams so upsetting I had to take a day to recover (the memory of the one where Hubby was buried in the front yard still has the power to freak me out)

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's not at all unusual in the insect kingdom for the adults to be All About Teh Sex... and nothing more. Mayflies, for instance.

Earless dragons and mouth less moths, they fight crime?

I am confused why my alarm did not go off. Woke up at 9am. My phone had turned itself off, I think-- I thought maybe I hadn't plugged it in right and it ran out of battery, but no, it is at 99%. WTF, phone??

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, the domesticated silk moth cannot have sex w/o human intervention because the males don't fly and the whole silk moth technique is for the females to wait for the males to approach them.

(There are domestic/wild hybrids - basically the wild dudes fly to the domestic females and because the domestic males don't fly there aren't any hybrids that are domestic male/wild female crosses.)

meara, I nearly got run over twice by asshole drivers this morning and my phone decided to freeze as I was trying to turn off a podcast, so I think it's going to be one of those days.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

So should I have Cauliflower soup:

A sublty textured cream soup with cauliflower, celery, and onions, blended with cheeses for a favorable flavor combination.

or Roast Turkey

Oven roasted turkey complimented with a side of stuffing

today. I love the descriptions on our website. I could also have pecan pie: Mammoth toasted pecan halves in an intoxicating filling, laced with Kentucky Bourbon.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Dang, Sophia, I think I would have to get both! (I am pretty hungry right now, though.) If I had to choose, I'd go with the soup.

And then pie.

Art Crawl!!!

Soup then pie - if a 3 course lunch is not an option.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This capsule principle seems familiar--I'm sure I've read something like it as packing advice. I'm tempted to pull one out of my closet and experiment with it for a while, but that involves motivation and energy--both of which evade me greatly at the moment.

Our wings are not tired.

That soup sounds good although I am full from the avocado roll and blackberries I just downed.
