Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a really hard time believing that is actually Prince. [link]

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Really pretty, Tep! Although as soon as I saw it I realized I was subconsciously expecting something blue.

Since my dress is too long and needs to be shortened [note to self: CALL THE TAILOR, YOU SLACKER], I thought about using the cut-off fabric to wrap the stems. I mentioned this to Tim, and he said "Aren't our colors blue and silver?* You should wrap the stems in silver ribbon." Which is going to look awesome.

*(I forgot to tell him no, our colors are blush and bashful.)

My sister had a talisiamen for Dad in her bouquet, I think a small photo.

I've seen that on the various (okay, only 2) wedding websites I read. And I would do that for Tim's mom, except the critters are SO much more *her.* Everyone will get it right away.

I need to figure out how to make a charm of the Buffy-font B so I can attach it to my bouquet, because you damn bet I want my Buffistas there with me in spirit. I guess maybe print out a big Buffy-font B, trace it on fabric, and then run a loop of thread through it and tie the thread to the stems?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a really hard time believing that is actually Prince

So did I, but I have no idea what they did to convince Twitter. Aren't they usually false negative more than false positive?

Also, I have a persona in my head which is based on very little. Hell, him growing a 'fro poked holes in it. So I really don't know. It's not like I read tweets anyway.

eta:

no, our colors are blush and bashful.

Ha! I read "blush and batshit" which I now want for my putative nuptials. Volunteers? Bueller?

Aw, that's sweet, Steph!

True true true.

Oh, that would be so neat!

Because books.

Oooh, silver ribbon, yes.

I have always wanted to say my colors were blush and bashful. Sigh.

I guess maybe print out a big Buffy-font B, trace it on fabric, and then run a loop of thread through it and tie the thread to the stems

Know anyone who could embroider it on the fabric you use to wrap the bouquet? Or is that being too crazy?

Ha! I read "blush and batshit"

That is TOTALLY more appropriate for us!

Hmmm. I was going to use ribbon to wrap the bouquet -- not, like, a satiny ribbon, but more like the kind of ribbon that's reinforced with wire. I don't know how well that could be embroidered on. And then I don't know that I even know anyone who could do it. Must ponder.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Reading the amazing comments on this dude's announcement about the millions he just raised to start a website for ladies.

I can't find the comments! I want to be entertained by people snarking on him!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Lovely bouquet, Steph.

As for that Hipster Zeus guy, I may be all alone in this one but I have no problem accepting that he's 47. Yes he looks older than I do (I hope!) but I've noticed a pretty wide range for what looks like normal aging once you get past the early 30s. That's when all those chickens come home to roost. And Kat's probably right about the meth.
