I'm glad my productivity was used by a fellow Buffista. The cold continues with added asthma and major headache.

Tired of feeling like crap. It has totally harsher what should be my post vacation bliss.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

First day back at Former Employer.

Boss who didn't hire me was mostly okay, although a little weird about not having any work for me. Also they didn't have computers set up for any of us, and we won't get proper IDs for months, so every day we'll have to go through the metal detector to get into the building (bah!).

My Nemesis walked past me at one point but pretended not to see me.

I had some very boring work to do, and I really need to bring in: a water bottle, utensils, spare sneakers, tea pot, surge protector, and so forth.

Tomorrow I'm going out for drinks with people, when I will presumably get the dirt.

Oh, and there's a possibility I'll get a project in Hawaii to do but I doubt they'll send me anywhere...

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So you were not the girl in the flatbed Ford?

I was not. I was the woman in the Dodge Grand Caravan full of rakes and bags of recycling. Doesn't scan as well.

Woot for work, Suela. That's funny about your Nemesis. Hope it goes smoothly going forward.

Ooh. I shall cross my fingers for Hawaii and continued lack of Nemesis.

I am ensconced in the same hotel I stayed in my first time in Portland, some seven years ago, when I decided it seemed like a cool place and maybe I should move here. Sniff. I miss those coworkers! The company we worked for no longer exists though.

Comcast/Xfinity is giving one week access to a lot of shows one would normally pay big bucks to access. I'm taking advantage of this to watch the first season of "True Detective". I remember seeing some discussion of "True Detective", but not where...

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

You know, I've never wondered what exactly a "flatbed Ford" is or looks like. I guessed it was a pickup truck?

I'm providing 'taxi service' to a friend who is training up in Manchester, for gas and a small remuneration, so there's lots of driving today and tomorrow. But, it turns out there's an LL Bean outlet right near there, so I'm going to see if they have any winter-time markdowns.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Maybe Premium, Typo? I don't recall there was a lot of discussion, but if you wanted to start some that would be the place.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

You know, I always imagined the girl sitting in the flat bed part, but probably, if she was slowing down to take a look at him, she was driving...
