It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

But it seems like Clay and Krystal turned out ok, you have to admit.

Because books.

True. Although Clay needs to score big on Final Jeopardy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Can't really say how Krystal is doing just from her being on a ballot. A lot of people who did not turn out okay run for office.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My grandpa was named Clayton, and went by Clay. he turned out pretty well.

But his last name wasn't Walls, was it?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I now need to give to ED a list of job tasks that I need fulfilled by a new full time Hort person. I've come to the point that a director is not needed. A data inputter, someone to develop adult ed programs maybe, although I've been doing that, a networker, but above all another pair of hands on the ground. So a part of me is rethinking the whole "department" and thinking full time but part time hort admin, and full time part time grounds crew. And I get stuck with the 6-9pm board meetings and shade tree meetings and master plan meetings. I've come to think that we're too small for the ego of a director.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm right to read that sentence, Jilli, as "Shit will hit the fan here for No Good Reason. The ideal candidate will smile when it happens and be prepared to say it's her fault."

information libertarian

The thing is, "Ability to deal with ambiguity and change within a fast-paced environment" is in every job ad now. I mean, it's totally common in library jobs. Which, if I may say, are not what I would consider fast-paced. The ER we are not.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Can't really say how Krystal is doing just from her being on a ballot. A lot of people who did not turn out okay run for office.

She won. I don't remember who did or did not recommend her. I didn't have time to research all the judges this time.

The Honorable Krystal Rivers, then? I forget what's correct.

Tried baking an egg in half an avocado. Left off the bacon because cooking up some bacon is beyond my scope this afternoon. It was okay, not amazing, but this particular avocado got cut in half a while ago and then stuck in the freezer, so probably not the best possible candidate. I may try with a not so ripe one next time.

I'm wearing a new top I got that is sort of a checkerboard pattern but with some optical illusion like perspective trickery going on. The squares up by the neck are much smaller than down by my waist, for one thing. Anyway it occurred to me that I could wear it with a hounds-tooth skirt and a striped blazer (all in black and white) and get kind of a Harley Quinn at the Office kind of effect. Worth trying to turn into a Halloween costume?

Pretty sure something very similar to the ambiguity phrase got said about my job when I was interviewing for it. I remember somebody saying fast-paced, because our department does not really seem fast-paced to me. Sometimes things are urgent, but that isn't the general atmosphere.
