The fact that GP is referring to the divorce as "conscious uncoupling" makes me want to yark.
Unlike all those other couples who divorce by accident. Or, I don't know, fall off one another in a fit of narcolepsy?

I am going to work conscious uncoupling into as many situations as I possibly can. I am laughing for days how ridiculous it is.
And in more stupid decision news, the Governor of California appointed someone as the new State librarian today, except the person he appointed isn't actually a librarian.
Ugh. The latest Librarian and Archivist of Canada was a bureaucrat and so so terrible.
I'm gonna take a stand and say I'm against 10 hour workdays. I cannot keep this up.
msbelle, I highly recommend the Zombies Run! version of couch to 5K for getting you and the dog from walking to jogging or whatever. It's done me a world of good and not left me all sore hardly at all.
I should be running right now but I just got home and I'm kind of dehydrated and weepy and semi-catted.
Made the mistake of checking work email from home. How to tell a certain someone that I made a decision because it was convenient for me, considering she's no longer a part of any equation. The trials of keeping up a front while planning for the actual future.
But speaking of, to get specific: if you had an unpaid intern and a seasonal part time paid employee starting on the same day, and the unpaid person would be working 40 hours a week, with the paid being only allotted 20 hours, would keeping their roles distinct also dictate making their first day of work distinct? As opposed to bringing them both onboard in a similar fashion, but one has more responsibilities ;by which I mean time) with no pay, and the other less but paid. It'd be more efficient for me, but it seems more unfair to the two positions to be lumped together with such disparate wages and responsibilities.
Considering that most unpaid internships are run in violation of US Department of Labor guidelines in the first place, I'm sure there's more than just lumping the positions together at fault here.

I concur. I'm in week 7 of 8. There have been times when it has felt like a bit of an under-challenge, but I'm okay with that, as it's getting me there in the end.
Explain, ND, if you can. I'm off to do some research now.
A quick google shows guidelines for for-profit orgs. Will delve deeper, as we are a nonprofit.
I should be in Week 8, Debet, but I have been unable to get a run in so far this week. Sadface. But I'm registered for an actual 5K on Saturday, so that's happening.
aurelia, what's your resume sitch?
And now I want to say something about unconscious coupling, but I'm not sure what that is....
