BTDT. I think a kangaroo got him. We all were definitely nibbled on by rock wallabies, cause we hand fed them at Granite Gorge. OH, but I totally remember they drew his blood too!

I'm not sure whether it is better or worse that my main AUS creature mishaps were being pooped on by a koala and fruitbats. And postured at by a cassowary.

OK, here's something marvelous to cheer you up, if you need it: [link]

Fantastic women's barbershop quartet doing a medley of love songs. So excellent!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And it was totally bland and flavorless.

I don't eat steak often, but I always marinate it something strong like Worcestshire sauce.

I do salt it, but the main thing is that I put butter on it to melt before I serve it. I know that seems like excess, but that's what the French like to do and it makes it taste super yummy.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I like to use cracked peppercorns with steak (and salt too) which is perfect for me. Enough meat flavor without other flavors.

For dinner, I made a use up leftovers lasagne (I had noodles already and made a sauce with sausage, mushrooms, cream, tomatoes). It was pretty good, and the noodles were perfectly al dente which I prefer. I assume if I had cooked it another 15 minutes it would have been softer, but everyone was hungry.

Now I'm having skyr which is very tart, but still yummy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I just bought their album! Thanks for the rec!

I did laundry, culled expired things from the Lazy Susan and removed everything to scrub the shelves, culled expired things from the refrigerator and cleaned some of the shelves, I swept, did dishes, changed the air filter, took out garbage, and went through some lessons in the online course I'm taking

That is LOTS of productivity! Go you!

I...went to Joann Fabrics and managed to only buy the stuff I needed (!!), then got empanadas with my friend who came to the fabric store with me, then we sewed a bit (I mostly ironed stuff to the t-shirts so they'd be stiffer fabric, and then cut them out into the squares for my quilt). Then I worked out, then met up with my sister's friend for dinner, took them to cupcakes, dropped them off, and now am watching Amazing Race. ...not nearly so productive.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

This afternoon/evening I attacked all the assorted receipts, pay stubs and other paper littering my desk. In the process I also reorganized my filing cabinets. I have one stack of insurance papers left to be filed, but I need to actually read those first. The cats enjoyed the pile of paper destined for recycling and the emptied portable file box while I worked.

I just received an email with the subject "Getting this email can get you fired in Cincinnati" which probably wasn't supposed to make me laugh, but it did. (NoiseDesign will understand.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I was not productive today. Well, I flipped the mattress and laundered the sheets, but that was because the dog bled on them after his dental surgery. Poor doggie. But he's feeling much more chipper now.

Go you on the 5k, Suela, that's great!

At least you have a diagnosis, Theo?

We eat a lot of red meat, but it's all game, which has lots of flavor. Not flavor that everyone likes, but I like it, so it works out.

Ooh, I forgot to take out garbage. I probably should. Because I'm still on spring break, and will likely forget tomorrow morning before he comes.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hmm, Saturday we worked on taxes ALL DAY. Today, I got my car washed, went to get nails done but they were booked, then went to see Bad Words, which was snarkily sweet and lots of fun. Then came home and sexed up my husband and am now slounging in bed. A damn good weekend, I'd say.
