I'm catching up on Scandal, now! Well, watching the episode from two weeks ago now, we'll see how I proceed from here, got a lot of backlog on the DVR.
And I've been starving all day. And eating all day because of it, but then getting hungry again seems like too soon after I eat. Weird.
I'm not super thrilled by the last few weeks of Scandal, honestly. I do kinda love Mellie a lot, always, but everyone else is just too annoying or complex or bizarro or conflicted to entertain me appropriately. Though apparently next week we get to see
the presidential children?? mysterious...
I finished the first season of FNL, and immediately got spoiled for later events by Parks & Rec! Or, more accurately, reminded, because I did watch some late-season eps at the time, but I had forgotten!
That's pretty funny, Jesse.
I'm not too enthralled by two-weeks-ago Scandal*, but I'm kinda surprisingly into Grey's again. I suspect this is just how it goes for me and Shonda - sometimes I'm glued to her shows and sometimes I'm just meh, but if I keep watching I'll probably get interested again.
ETA: *Although
Mellie and whatshisname making out in front of the First Ladies' portraits
was kind of awesome
First five photos here show what I decided to embark on a little after 9 tonight: [link]
Color in the photos isn't true. I'm very happy with the result. The flash picks up the places the stain didn't take like whoa, but it is less obvious in reality. Still, there will be measures taken. I was surprised, actually, at where it didn't take. There was paint soaked so deep into the grain, nothing could get it. That was fine. Random dings and other just weird spots. I'll be using a tinted varnish (and possibly sharpie/paint) on the stubborn bits.
PRO-FUCKING-GRESS.
And it wasn't even that big a deal. Now, I'll have plenty of paint to touch up after this (though it was amazingly unmessy,) but hey, I'll need a new project, right?
We have lots of projects for you over here, sarameg.
Screen door to either strip/repaint/rescreen or just build a new one (probably easier,) paint porch floors, little wall around the back postage stamp yard, moulding throughout the house that's easier to replace than repaint, new front storm/screen door, plaster work from water damage, the bits falling off the trim on the porch, repaint the ceiling with killz in the room that originally only got primer....that's just the stuff I can do myself. And WANT to do. There just not enough hours. I have this stupid job thing.
ah, I see you have plenty of projects already. ah well.
1931 house. ENDLESS PROJECTS.
You don't need a year for that to be true
