Calli, my best friend's husband grew up in Kalamazoo, and I am pretty sure his elderly parents live there. Let me know if I can put you in touch.
mr. flea has been in the house and would like to announce that the kitchen is truly hideous; the shingles on top of the cabinets LIFT UP for STORAGE. And the house in general has layout problems with a lot of space wasted in hallways. I honestly couldn't get his take on it. And there were other people waiting outside to see it. Hopefully the kitchen will shock them into fleeing.
What do people think of the paint on this house?
I like it! The way the trim picks up the brown outlining the spots really works for me.
I'm not fully embracing the day of rest today, but I'm not pushing myself to get things done, either. Run the dishwasher a few times, maybe get some clean laundry put away, that'll probably be about it for the rest of the day.

Oh, the neighbors must love them.
shrift may have an opinion on Kalamazoo.
The neighbors are bland apartment buildings. Screw em.
I see the side isn't painted that way. Maybe to spare the neighbors.
Those side yards look very narrow. I'd bet it's much harder to paint the sides than the front, just in terms of maneuvering ladders around.
This is the cutest thing ever:

Aw. And now I need to go give my dog a treat.
Thanks, Flea! If I get further along in the process I may take you up on that.
That is evil. And hysterical.
So mean!

Wow. Although I'd want to rearrange the whole kitchen anyway, no? It looks awkward.
