Outside Cairns, there was a zooish place where you would wander and feed and pet all the rock wallabies and small kangaroos.
You can also do this at Healesville Sanctuary, about 25 minutes from my home. (Incidentally, I an writing this from Werribee Open Range Zoo, where we have been admiring giraffes, lions, hippos and rhinos. And elands, who may also be found at Cincinnati Zoo.
Philly Zoo is quite nice, and has giant otters. It was also the home of the world's oldest echidna, which lived to be 48 years old.

I have a garden place within walking distance. I've never walked home with anything, but I've walked back home, gotten in my car, and driven back for a lot of things.
That makes so much sense to me, Calli.
That sounds great, Burrell.
I woke up earlier today than I have all week. Because I was hungry. WTF, body, I fed you yesterday! So now I am having a mocha with lots of whipped cream and watching TV, because I can.
I slept a long time! Good one.
And I just averted a potential crisis by finally figuring out where my spare batteries are, because my tv remote had crapped out. Phew!
Today's new listing! [link]
I am all paranoid that someone is buying it RIGHT NOW (I am at work). "Roll up your sleeves" means "yes we know the kitchen has yellow laminate countertops and what appears to be shingles on top of the cabinets, but there's a lot of potential here, and the neighbors have a pool!"

But the leaded glass and built-in shelves are great, and that looks like Rookwood tiles on the fireplace.
