That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Zoo! Zoo! Especially if the weather's nice.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too, though I haven't checked the weather yet. But I like our zoo a lot. There's a kangaroo enclosure where you can go in and walk around with them, and if they approach you, you can touch them!

Because books.

::makes plans to visit Kate's zoo::

I need to get back to the Philadelphia Zoo this summer. They were renovating and doing work for so long, not a lot of it was actually open for a while. It's such a great size for a zoo, though -- not too big and not too small.

I may try to get some baking in while doing laundry/writing this weekend, although I definitely have to get outside if it continues to be so springy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, poor Rose.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

msbelle, that's infuriating and absurd. Glad you're free of Bad Boss, though.

Anyone interested in a Chromebook?

I am, and I bought one of those! Thanks, tommyrot.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What?!? That's awesome!

Poor Rose. IIRC, two-ish is when night terrors are pretty common, so, possibly no actual cause needed for screaming. They suck, but for most people they go away.

Ah, a glass of chardonnay (because Spring!) and some chicken paté, shabbos dinner of champions. But now I might be too inebriated for Cosmos. Not to worry, I have plenty of less intellectually demanding TV to watch.

I also bought a chromebook. Exciting! Also got a case for said chromebook, and a briefcase to fill with tacos. Because Amazon.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

a briefcase to fill with tacos

I am intrigued by this and wish to know more.

I was going to say ...

Ooh! I just remembered there is a garden supply place in walking distance (in addition to what they have at the hardware store) AND they are having beginners workshops through the spring! Exciting!

Y'all are making me want a chromebook, except the last thing I need is another computer to config and the absolute LAST thing I need is another OS.

Outside Cairns, there was a zooish place where you would wander and feed and pet all the rock wallabies and small kangaroos. [link] [link] [link]

And of course, the rock wallaby rocks at Granite Gorge: [link] [link]

That is exciting, Jesse! A garden supply place within walking distance of me would be dangerous. Although walking distance gets pretty short when I am laden with seedlings and whatnot. What I need right now is mulch, just as well I am not trying to carry that home on my back.

BTW, my grapes look fantastic, I am so pleased.
