information libertarian

I am working tomorrow.

Also, one of my daughter's friends' mother (whom I don't know well) has been battling breast cancer this year (with bone metastasis). She was declared in remission Jan. 30 but Mar. 12 was diagnosed with a DIFFERENT kind of breast cancer, and scans show brain lesions as well (but not bone involvement, so tiny yay I guess?). She's decided to wind up her practice and although they are pursuing treatment it sounds like the long-term odds are bad. The daughters are 11 and 8 - in my kids' grades. Life is hard.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oof, flea, that is hard.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am pretty sure that Suzi sucks.

She really does.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, that is hard flea.

Suzi does indeed suck, and yet I want to be her.

My weekend is trying to balance house projects and work projects. And watching basketball. While working.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Got the details on my contract job, and it's scheduled (barring changes, which are always possible) to go until October. No more job-hunting until then!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took my car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change(It had been 300 miles/6 months since the last one- no I don't drive a huge amount) and found out there was no oil in the car. (!) There may be leaks. Guess I will be taking advantage of the free fluid check/topoff thing between oil changes from now on.

As for the rest of the weekend, I'm going to go get my driver's license renewed tomorrow morning. House concert to go to tomorrow night, and gaming on Sunday.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Today was glorious: I got to complain to coworkers that I'd gotten a sunburn. Out of the office, doing actual gardening, no boss. Bliss. I haven't smiled so much in months. Oh beautiful sunshine.
