If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh FFS. There are things you need to know. And I would definitely have a follow up conversation with the HR rep.

(And find out what she actually said - if she said msbelle is concerned about not having any details on what happens next, and he's flipping out, that's on him, not HR.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

SERIOUSLY!!!

1) he did not tell me it was confidential - the part about him leaving. He told me "today is my last day here".

I was just supposed to KNOW that he was sharing that with us in confidence. THE DOOR WAS NOT EVEN CLOSED IN HIS OFFICE.

2) I SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASK HR QUESTIONS!!!

3) FUCK EVERYONE!

my only hope is that I somehow have jeopardized him even staying with the company.

I think as soon as I officially have a new boss I am making an appointment with the VP of HR. and that chic is going to get an angry phone call.

Wait, you mean HR possibly didn't know??

Because books.

He told me "today is my last day here".

Which you'd have to assume other people would notice, since he was cleaning out his desk!

I SHOULD BE ABLE TO ASK HR QUESTIONS!!!

Exactly so.

No, HR knew, he just wasn't supposed to say anything.

Because books.

It sounds like he's not in good favor there himself.

Ah. Yeah. In that circumstance if HR was calling him on it they in no way should have told him who inquired.

But, people do tend to notice things like desk clearing. Make him do it on the weekend if it needs to be so hush hush (and I can't imagine a reason why it does).

My anger I mentioned the other day IT IS OUT AND NOT SUBSIDING TODAY.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That's really bad practice, Msbelle. I am casting disdainful glances at my fellow HR person.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, that doesn't sound like best HR practices, msbelle. Sorry you got stuck in the middle of things.

I had no coffee today. I've decided to try the 10 Day Detox thing (yes, 95% of all diets fail, but on the other hand, my jeans are tight, so) and one of the things on the chopping block is coffee. I'm a little sleepy and dreamy feeling, but no homicidal urges so far. Of course, on Friday half the office is working from home or otherwise gone, which may be a factor in my overall zen.
