Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay for good news on the boss front, msbelle!

And happy Persian New Year, No-Rouz Mobarak Suzi!

Is this the holiday where all the Persian gather in a park and have picnics and make generally awesome revelries? There was a park in Irvine where everyone would gather in Spring and it was always so much fun to go.

I don't blame you, anger is really toxic, tommyrot.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm gonna disagree with that. I think anger is okay, but it's very easy to express in toxic ways.

Eide Shoma Mobarak is the greeting.

Yes, Burrell. You also wear new clothes and visit friends. If I were properly unpacked I'd set up a Haft Seen, which is a table with seven S's.

The Haft Seen items are:
1.Sabzeh - (Persian: سبزه‎)-wheat, barley, mung bean or lentil sprouts growing in a dish - symbolizing rebirth
2.Samanu - (Persian: سمنو‎)-sweet pudding made from wheat germ - symbolizing affluence
3.Senjed - (Persian: سنجد‎)-dried oleaster Wild Olive fruit - symbolizing love
4.Sir - (Persian: سیر‎)- garlic - symbolizing medicine
5.Sib - (Persian: سیب‎)- apples - symbolizing beauty and health
6.Somāq - (Persian: سماق‎)sumac fruit - symbolizing (the color of) sunrise
7.Serkeh - (Persian: سرکه‎) - vinegar - symbolizing old-age and patience

brillig

Spring is lovely, but we always get snow in April, and sometimes in May, so it's not such a big deal.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eide Shoma Mobarak is the greeting.

Whoops, sorry about that. Eide Shoma Mobarak!

Thanks, Suzi, Eide Shoma Mobarek! It sounds like a lovely holiday.

I wish I'd known about the new clothes, I have new stuff I could have worn today. Well, my shoes are new, at least.

Suzi, that sounds awesome.

I'm at school and have arranged a day for me to get caught up on nonsense I cannot stay caught up on (AKA grading).

Now if I can actually get anything done!

I'd agree with that clarification. I can think of times when anger can be useful or can bring things into focus. But IME anger often gets in the way of more productive responses to things, which may just mean that *I* tend to shift into toxic around it.
