I cooked food for all our meals today. been a long time since I did that.

even made boxed cupcakes, but with from scratch buttercream frosting.

my head still hurst, but I made myself go out and do some shopping.

BTW, msbelle, I think your employers are completely insane to put you on call when you have other life things scheduled ON A WEEKEND. At that point, they need to put someone else on call or get over themselves.

I felt the front coming in this afternoon, IN MY FACE. And it kept squeaking during my swim. I'm not really congested, it just seems to do this with this whackadoodle weather.

Oh, I wish I could take decent pictures from my office. The air's clear and the sunset's lighting the mountains red, and it's reflecting in the lake. It looks like a Maynard Dixon painting.

edit: I've got probably a 40-50 miles view down the valley, across the lake, to the mountains at the other end of the valley. It's nearly worth the drive.

Ugh, yeah. After the past few weeks of back-and-forth, cold-warm, snowy/rainy/nice/snowy/etc. weather, I'm fighting off a migraine. Now, admittedly, in the past I would get a migraine every damn time the weather did one of these whipsaw changes, so the fact that this one has held off for weeks of crazy changes is an improvement. But now I'm drugged up and trying to keep it from turning into a significant migraine.

And, we have achieved cottage. Or contract for cottage anyway.

I am so exhausted.
