I've started getting Linked-in invitations from industry vendors. I get it, but it'd feel a lot less icky if they'd wait at least a week after my boss's death.
I just found out that my grad school scenic design professor passed away yesterday. Do svidaniya, Larry Kaushansky.
I think the Journey song is "Faithfully."
I have a 10 year old sofa that I got in a Sears Outlet. It is the more comfortable, and the seat is deep so it is perfect for napping or sleeping. (My sibling refuse to sleep on the futon I have because the couch is more comfy.) but a few springs have broken, so I need to replace it. I don't think I will ever find something nearly so perfect.
Also, I am still haven't heard any word about the Hague job, so I've been holding off on buying anything big.
Sue, can you have the broken springs replaced? There's a furniture refurb place here that does things like that, maybe there's one around where you live.
Dinner is lamb stroganoff. I love my Hubby.
We have had an excellent day. My former student and another ranger friend of hers did an awesome interpretative program for Noah and Grace. We also got to see the waterfalls (I don't know that I've ever been to Yosemite while the Yosemite falls are cascading). Now we are sitting in front of a fire in the fireplace and I have decided fireplaces are far superior to fire pits.
Kat, Yosemite sounds amazing.
If my phone's pedometer is to be believed, both Dylan and I walked almost 8 miles today (me walking, him on the scooter) between two playgrounds, ice skating, and soccer. And then he threw up after dinner because there is a stomach bug going around NYC and Aeryn has it. (She threw up twice after her nap, had plain rice for dinner and then conked out by 7:30.) I predict tomorrow will be significantly less fun than today was.
I think everyone needs a park ranger friend. So awesome, Kat.
Stomach bugs on the eastcoast, less so.
Y'all, I think I have a stain. A little less honey than I'd like, but if I get a honeyed sealer (which I will, for dual use on the stairs)...About time, I'm running out of it! Rustoleum american walnut, which means nothing. Color words are useless.
I just noticed I got my tax refunds! Time to start looking at love seats.
Wow Kat, what a wonderful vacation. Sounds ideal
And sarameg, you are so inspiring with your house stuff.
