The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I'm a little worried that Finn may have swallowed a length of string. I came home this evening to find that he'd dissected his fishing pole toy. I found the stick and I found the lure, but the length of cord that runs between is missing. He seems as bouncy as ever, snarfed down his dinner, and wants to play. (Of course, the little dumbass kept pawing at the stick of the broken fishing pole toy and crying for me to work it for him.

Is there anything I should be keeping an eye out for?

It's a pretty thick cord, so I'm hoping he didn't nom it. But I'll definitely keep an eye on the litterbox.

In other news, Finn is blowing his winter coat. It looks like there has been a fursplosion in the house.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Theo, also think about pain in your right shoulder and arm. It's a signicator of gall bladder problems, and one of the things that made me seriously think I was having a heart attack when I had mine.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I found myself feeling really down this afternoon, for no good reason. A pedicure, time with a cat on my lap, and now Ancient Aliens, have helped a lot.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got to leave work about 20 minutes early because the internet for my entire office stopped working.

I used the time to buy pie.

It seemed like the right thing to do

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think my new method of coping shall be an hour a day in the greenhouse with my iPod blasting. Dancing like a moron while planting seeds or repotting is wonderfully therapeutic, and lord knows the greenhouse gets terribly neglected; there's always something to do.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

BTW, the only problem with strangers showing up at my door is the fact that I am wearing pine tree pj pants and a hoodie.

I had unexpected maintainance people show up today. The lounge pants and hoodie weren't intended for public, but it's better than my sartorial track record with fire or police.

At some point today I accidentally unsubscribed to the thread and was wondering where all my people went.

My knee above my booted leg hates me. I think I did too much today and there is so much more to do before we are ready for movers. KCD and B are coming tomorrow to help. K-bug is coming over Sunday to help unpack. Just, ugh, so much is still unpacked.

brillig

We got a blackberry pie. It's disappointing. But then, I'm comparing it to the memory of blackberries picked from the ancient bush next to our barn on a warm sunny day with my sister, me getting the low ones and her getting the high ones.

That's a hell of a bar for one pie to reach.
