Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Maybe he has to sing it softly to himself, like some people do with the alphabet?

How does he not know the order of the months?

Irrelevant to his life? "It's morning, I go drive the car. I know where all the streets and landmarks are. I drive all day, I go home, watch TV, sleep, get up and do it again. Every five days, if I'm lucky, I get a day off. In the summer, when the red white and blue decorations come out, it's time for the Fourth of July."

Strictly speaking, whether May comes before June or vice versa doesn't make a lot of impact on that kind of world.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Husband is visiting his family until Tuesday, so I'm kind of tempted to jaunt down to New Orleans.

Unless shrift wants to take a last-minute trip to Texas.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I mean you don't use 3/14 format.

For one day, I would use it for pie.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Maybe he has to sing it softly to himself, like some people do with the alphabet?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's very open-minded of you, bt. Pie breaks down barriers, I guess.

W-E-E-K-E-N-D! I'm going for a run in a few minutes, then it's dinner and maybe karaoke and/or dancing with work people since today was K's last day and we will miss her. Tomorrow I am hoping for a whole lot of sleeping and a great deal of TV watching and oh crap I just realized I left my Supply Chain Mgmt stuff on my desk, oh well. Sunday should probably be a bunch of cooking and cleaning.

Oh ye without small children. There is SO a song for the months of the year. And the days of the week. And the countries in South America. Et cetera.

If you launch it from a pie cannon.

Now we need a song to track all the songs. A metasong, if you will.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My weekend started with forgotten-about home health people for my dad showing up at my apartment door. But now it's good! Massage tomorrow, then some sofa shopping and probably a movie with a friend tomorrow night. Then just laundry on Sunday.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I would like a song for remembering the countries of South America. In fact, all the countries. I always miss questions about countries on Jeopardy!
