Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Thanks to that google search, I now want BOTH the ModCloth cardigan AND the even more expensive North Face one! Oops.

Because books.

Just returned from the OB, it's 4 lb 11 oz and its head is practically in my lungs.

Always a fun sensation, huh? Wow, six weeks! It's getting close.

I have no pie (or pi) and I'm not sure this work-fir-hire job is going to turn out the way I expected, either. Bah.

Yay for Suzi's raise!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay fun! I mean, fun for me. That sounds terrible for you.

My coworker just went out on mat leave, and I am very excited for her to have a baby! (Weirdly so, since we've actually met twice? But I like her.) Even 9mos pregnant, she agreed with me that it is kind of crazy that one day you don't have a baby and then one day you do.

I've been watching Revenge, and it makes no goddamned sense, and I should just stop, so I have more time for Friday Night Lights.

bon, have I mentioned recently how lovely the name Rebecca is? LOVELY

Salad update - today I went to the grocery store and bought 2 ceasar salad bags, THEN I noticed a bag of just romaine was marked down to 89 cents so I grabbed that too, so now, for half the money, I am more full than I was yesterday on the Panera salad with chicken. Grocery Store (Kroger, FTR) FTW!!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My cell phone just rang in the library, so I feel guilty, but the guy sitting at the table next to mine just got up and did some jumping jacks. Is that worse than the phone?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Just spoke with the movers. The guy was so nice. They will be here between 8 and 10 tomorrow morning - will call when they are on their way. I'm still trying not to panic. There is so much still unpacked - mostly CJ's stuff. And I have a huge pile that I want to move separately. And I just want to get to tomorrow evening and be done.

Is the new place open? Can you take over things this evening?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This is the forecast I was trying to refer to earlier:

“WE SOMETIMES SAY THE FORECAST HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. I THINK WE CAN TAKE THAT LITERALLY AT THE MOMENT . . . AS THIS FORECAST HAS ALMOST EVERY POSSIBLE WEATHER TYPE/HAZARD . . . IN THE FIRST 36 HOURS. STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS . . . SNOW . . . WIND CHILLS. . . STRONG WINDS . . . UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPS . . . UNSEASONABLY COLD TEMPS . . . POTENTIAL FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS . . . MINOR COASTAL FLOOD POTENTIAL . . . THERE IS NOT MUCH LEFT.”

I swear then men I work with can take a 2 minute conversation and stretch it into 15 minutes on the phone. They repeat things 4 or 5 times, they talk over each other which leads to a misunderstanding so then someone has to re-state something 4 or 5 more times. They are mostly know-it-alls, so they questions people over and over on things, challenge and hem and haw on items for NO REASON. They tire me out. Just listening to them tires me out. I swear.
