To celebrate my liberation from the crutches I hit up Old Navy and the Container Store and was able to SHOP. Got some green and yellow clothes for vacation and a couple of storage bins that I've been thinking about so when I unpack I can put things where I want.
Now I'm tuckered and I still have packing to do.
Clueless writing/publishing industry question time! (And I'll take this over to GWW if people think that's a better place for it.) Do people get paid to write introductions to books? I've been contacted by an indie press about writing an introduction to the reprint of one of my favorite vampire novels. And while I'm almost certainly going to do it no matter what, money would be cool, too.
I would doubt it in this case, Jilli, not with a small indie press. You can certainly ask for credit, though, and then promote the book with your intro.
I am returned from Mexico. On the bright side, it was apparently a lovely day here, and tomorrow is supposed to be decently nice too? Though not hot and no infinity pool.
Pumpkin just liberated a ginger cookie from a tub (TJs ginger cats, no less.) Didn't eat it but, still.

That's what I figured. But hey, a chance to witter about one of my favorite little-known-books!

Exactly. It's something to add to your resume, too.
That's cool, Jilli, even if there isn't money attached.
I'm going to ask them if it's possible to send me the early files for the ebook, so I can reread it without damaging my elderly paperback even more.
