Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay Suzi!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I should go for a run, but what I really want to do right now is go to sleep. I'm pretty sure that would result in me being acutely awake at midnight, though, which I'm sure would not be good for tomorrow. I don't even know why I'm so tired.

SOFA KING

I'm sure there are a number of sofa stores out there who have no idea why some customers are snickering. Or there are some very smug business owners who smirk every time they answer the phone and say their name.

edit: "Remember, employees! Enunciate the company name! People caught slurring the words will be written up! Yes, even you, Smithers!"

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We're up to Winter Storm Vulcan now.

I refuse to recognize names for storms that are not hurricanes/typhoons. It's just too ridiculous. How long before we end up with Sunshower Shelley or Afternoon Drizzle Dora?

Yay Suzi! COngratulations!

I just got off a quick conference call, and you know, as much as I like the coworkers here and the casual office environment (jeans, no office manager around, very low-key), I am not going to be envying these guys in a few months. They're working on a series of monster reports that are going to be challenged in court by a ton of angry Westerners (ranchers, miners, and environmentalists), and it's going to be u.g.l.y.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Afternoon Drizzle Dora

This has amused me greatly. Thank you for my Wednesday laugh.

Insane winds. The front porch was howling.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We're getting those howling winds here in Mont. County, sarameg. Made driving home from my MIL's house a bit interesting...

We had big winds last night. Not the same system I'm sure.

So I didn't nap or run, instead I am trying to figure out how to turn off the water so I can fix the leaky faucet in the kitchen because it is just leaking too much. Could've sworn there was a valve between the house and the street somewhere, but I'm damned if I can find it.

I am halfway planning to call in "plumbing mishap" tomorrow...
