Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Is it for awkward "you suck at your job" reasons, or something easier?

It's for "we have a new owner and you have been really uncooperative with all the changes."

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Boss had an interview she wanted me to be there for. I was there. Interviewee was there. Boss never showed. Never texted me that she was tied up and that I should proceed on my own. I did, eventually, and later told her that she'd left me in the lurch. She said sorry and then proceeded to list why she was tied up. And I'm still all: TEXT! She refuses all culpability and points to other things to excuse her behavior. Why would I assume that she'd be 45 minutes overlong with a prior appointment?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Boss blew off an interview? Jeez, juliebird, that's hella unprofessional.

Did you text her to see where she was? Because I'd be really embarrassed meeting with someone if my boss had just ... not shown up.

I was totally embarrassed, but figured that waiting for a reply text and her getting her ass to the office would just prolong it, and started the interview myself so as not to waste his or my time. I even delayed the interview with touring him through our art exhibit and other chit chat. Thank god he was still interested by the end of it.

She's on vacation again next week (how does someone on a second probation manage to accrue vacation days, and be allowed to take almost three weeks in one month heading into our busy season?). Hopefully the ED will gave found a way to fire her by then.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

HAAAA HAAAAA

I should get on the treadmill or meditate or something before I try to destroy the Earth. I know it's where I keep my stuff you guys, but I've been trying to declutter...

If I ever need a new tagline, I am begging for this.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I told my mom that I'd scan our old family pictures that are on slides, if she bought a slide scanner. So, now I'm working my way through 24 carousels of slides. This is going to take a while.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Nice.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh Scrappy, that is not going to be fun. Mucho sympathy to you.

And woot! on the job offer, Consuela, even if is not what you'd hoped. It does speak to their shortsightedness for not hiring you as an employee when they had the chance.

I am so flipping tired. But on the plus side, after work today I went and bought tix to see Book of Mormon next month.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Today was... not easy. This evening was a sort of wake for my boss (who passed away Sunday) which was both good and rough. I held it together until I walked out the door into the snow pelting my face and ended up having an ugly cry in the car before driving home.
