Bob and our contractor friend went to Second Chance today and actually bought a tub that was in good enough shape that we won't need to reglaze it. It was more $$, of course, but also came with all the hardware and plumbing whatnot and now we don't have to organize getting the tub glazed.
Woohoo! And boo for me not being able to pick your brain;) Isn't it nice to have the hardware that comes WITH it, rather than trying to fit the standards from decades ago? I can't imagine getting new faucets that look as good for my tub (and living room sink...)

What do you mean by "nubby fixtures"? And it's got the classic clawfoot feet. That will be also be painted.
I was born in '75. I grew up on COSMOS. I work in the field. My dad gave NdGT tours of his observatory and declined to yell at him for Pluto- which was discovered by a guy I grew up playing chinese checkers with- and...yeah, my experience in astronomy was personally touched by these several generations, this just was such a fitting acceptance of the torch as well as a promise. I'm a sap.
