How did your brain even learn human speech? I'm just so curious.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey! It's Aldis Hodge!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That sounds delicious, Kat. I should make a plan to see you and return your coat, btw. Right now work + life is kicking my ass, or at least it feels that way. When did I become such a delicate flower? I used to be better at toughing out the rough spots.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

FUCK DST. It is not 12:42pm, it is 11:42am, and my body refuses to believe otherwise.

I have emptied the small cabinet that had all my spices and other baking type things. Half of that is packed. Also cleaned my bathroom which is down to just basic hygiene stuff and makeup. I need to do a lot more in the kitchen but my hips are uber unhappy with me. Taking another break instead.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's fairly spring-like here. I've done a bunch of garden prep work, cleaned the tub, washed the shower curtain, done about half my laundry, started a load of dishes, and gone for a nice walk. While I'm not looking forward to hearing my alarm clock tomorrow, I am looking forward to having more time for walking in the evening.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oops. Ten minutes late for the afternoon preview of the show I'm designing. I've decided to use act 1 to get lunch. I'll see act 2.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I hate to do a DST whine. But I am going to. DST on both ends really mess up my internal clocks. For years I would have a good sense of time, just from knowing the position of the sun (living in a non-DST state did this). This fucks with all of that and it takes me FOREVER to get used to it. Took me until December to get used to the Fall Back. Will it be July when I am used to the Spring Forward?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

All y'all need to move to Arizona! Since Indiana fell, we are the last remaining continental bastion of pure time.

I'm still disappointed in Indiana, even if it does make it easier to remember what time I'm calling my parents at.

Since I'm on vacation I cannot complain about DST in the "springing forward" way, but I can complain that Mexico apparently has a different DST than the US? So I was in Central time but now I'm in Mountain time? Or something? I'm not even sure--I'm just hoping I show up at the right time to the airport on Wednesday!!

(So far today I showered, read the internet, ate breakfast, laid out by the pool, and am now back and eating some lunch. I'm telling myself this evening I should go out to get a real meal, but all the restaurants are horrid tourist traps (which is why I ate street tacos the past two nights--11 pesos/taco, which is about $1). Also I need to either change money or hit the ATM again, and I don't really want to do either, but know I need to...

Because books.

The city normally collects $270,000 daily on ASP tickets.)

Holy hell.

Today has been blah, and I'm blaming DST, too. But I did get some laundry done.
