I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I "slept in" this morning but I am kind of dreading tomorrow. I know I'll adjust eventually, but those first few mornings in the dark are no fun. ETA: and the DST switch on my alarm clock (which, to be fair, I don't actually use) doesn't do anything anymore. But it's set to the right-ish time today, so I'll worry about that later. Or not.

Sorry to hear that, Jesse. Maybe if you take it easy today tomorrow you'll feel better?

I am not definite about cabins or bagels. I could probably manage okay with Theo's castoffs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am hoping today is the worst day! That would be OK. I had tea this morning instead of coffee, since it was so late and I should go to bed early.

I'm all aggravated that I have to fix my stove clock myself, because my alarm clock takes care of itself, and I don't actually have any other clocks up.

I should probably reset the clocks that don't set themselves now while I'm thinking about it. There are four, iirc: the timer the bathroom space heater is plugged into, the thermostat, the one kitchen timer that also has a clock, and the clock radio in the kitchen.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am not feeling as terrible as Jesse I suspect, but I woke up with a headache in both the front and back of my head, and way too much work to ignore it and go back to bed. My husband went back to bed, of course, but sleeping is his superpower.

My kids have become that cliche of the kids who are addicted to technology. They get up extra early in the am to steal whatever tech they can find and bring it to their rooms. So now I've confiscated computers and phones (our phones mind you, they don't have phones yet). Sigh. She wants a phone of her own for middle school, but clearly that can't happen until she withstand the temptation of YouTube at 6 o'clock in the morning.

On the plus side, they are playing beautifully right now and don't seem bereft of their tech at all.

I'd blame DST, but really, I've been awake on and off for the past 6 hours and that's mostly the cats' fault. The harder Loki tries to wake me up, the harder I try to not be awake.

It's not terribly restful.

Need to tame my hair (which looks like it has been styled by a manic pixie cat, because it has) and wander around the corner to the open house.

And clean. I brought the vacuum downstairs. That's a start, right?

I just made some kale-sausage soup I've been to do all week, and that may be my accomplishment for the day.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

To me, it's not a cabin if it's easy to see other cabins/houses. Also, I don't see a fireplace in that one, which is also a cabin-defining component.

In Lower Michigan, every lake (and there are LOTS of them) is surrounded by cabins, so finding one that isn't in view of other cabins is highly unlikely. And many were only intended for summer use so lack a fireplace (besides, that's how raccoons get in) although some have wood burning stoves. I would expect Wisconsin is similar. Anything more remote and winterized was probably built to be a hunting lodge.

4 couples came through while I was there, and I was able to answer questions for all of them. Whee!

Realtor is one who had another open house a few months ago, he remembered me. Hee.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

So freaking tired already and there is so much to do. I'm basically hanging in the living room and directing CJ, jumping in to help here and there. Why so tired?

Tired from yesterday! And the day before that, and the day before that, I'm sure.

So I saw that Pivot is playing Friday Night Lights season 1, so I'm finally watching it! It's funny putting all the pieces together, because I know so many of the names and a little about the characters and etc. Also, that Gaius Charles is basically unrecognizable from Grey's Anatomy.
