I think we used dresser and bureau most, but I had always heard chest of drawers, too. In my head, a chest of drawers is one of the tall ones, and a dresser is lower, maybe three big drawers with a mirror over it, but I have no idea why.

In my family, we use chest of drawers and dresser interchangeably. Bureau, rarely.

Hello, and post and run. I'm in Palm Springs, having attended the Follies that my BF insisted I see.
