'Not Fade Away'
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
(laughing)
btw, I had never heard of "chest of drawers" until I moved to the midwest. Blew my mind that people called furniture that.
I would like to say that assholes don't make up most of the world. But the non-assholes usually aren't in your face, so they are easier to forget/ignore.
I have to keep reminding myself of this.
Or a Chester Draws.
I've seen that in fics. It makes me want to weep. And gently suggest a beta--or at least one that may have a different linguistic background from the author.
Timelies all!
Yay Consuela!
Open sing tonight, with the topic of Pete Seeger.(Songs he wrote, songs he's known for, etc.)
You were getting looks for frivolity at a Party Store, Connie? Whatevs, Dude (er, Older Lady), save that for unnecessary frivolity in the Library. Kinda what the party store is there for.
Maybe she was just jealous that you rocked the burgundy fedora in a way she'd never be awesome enough to manage.

That sounds fun.
I have accomplished updating my renter's insurance and scheduling the switch over of my Xcel Energy account and my Comcast service. And now I'm on the phone with AT&T. Once I finish this call, I'm DONE talking to people.
Hubby looks quite dashing in his neon green fedora.
Many years ago, Hubby had a bright green with white polka dot giant hat and bow tie. He wore the hat, and I wore the bow tie on my head. We went out driving and were delighted by all the nervous looks we got.
The Mormon church explicity states that light mindedness is frowned upon (so why the big business at the party store?). The locals did not know how to cope with two grown-ups without kids who were out about their business looking odd and apparently not making a fuss about it. Honestly, people backed away.
Utah is a weird place. We delight in making it weirder.
"chest of drawers"
My family used that term in the NE. I had forgotten that!
Wow, Utah is odd. Remind me not to go to parties there, unless they are hosted by Connie and DH. I will remember to be particularly light minded if I visit.
Your descriptions make it sound like any additional frivolity can only improve it, Connie.
