one of my colleagues had a discussion with her advisee (a graduate student, I should note) about why women go to strip clubs. I would not have had this discussion with my advisees, but oh well.

Anyway, the advisee mentioned she herself went to strip clubs. Colleague asked: "why do you go to strip clubs?'

Answer: "I like the chicken wings."

So...when my colleague told me the above, without exaggeration, I laughed for 15 minutes straight until I could hardly breathe. I think that is the most hilarious response to an earnest question on the topic that I could ever imagine.

There were doughnuts and bagels at lab retreat part 3 this morning. I had bits of one that was the sweetest thing ever. It was cream filled, had green frosting and Oreo bits on top. Tasty, but made my teeth hurt.

I am starving, but there's no sign of husband. To compensate, I had Girl Scout cookies.

That seems reasonable.

Did I mention I am picking up another account? Kind of a big one, dollar-wise, too. I hope this is not about to become an overwhelming amount of work. It might be.

Meanwhile, those zombies are not going to chase themselves. Or will they? I don't really know what zombies get up to if there aren't any humans around.

I think I have not actually congratulated brenda "out loud" yet. Woo, brenda, that is super impressive!

We passed accreditation on Tuesday, I think. Nothing official but it looks like we should be okay.

To celebrate, I left work early and bought two bras. Which, together, cost more than a car payment. Went to Jenette Bras in Pasadena: [link] where they nice patient women were nice and patient with me. I love that they carry 26E as a bra size (though I have no need of that).

I am officially ensconced in the apartment I'm staying in in Mexico, with guacamole, salsa, and beer. However, I bought coffee and milk, but assumed (since there was maple syrup and nutella in the fridge!) there'd be sugar. NOPE. Salt, and spices, and various vinegars and stuff, but no sugar. Grr. There are only little minimarts near here, I'm not sure how far to go for a real supermarket, but wanted to do it while I had energy this evening--since I got up at 5AM today I"m not sure how late I"ll be awake! Guess I'll have to go out again later....

And season 3 starts in April! I suspect I will not catch up for some time, especially if I go back to work, since I only do ZR when I'm running by myself, not with my sister.
