Tonight are the local Democratic and Republican caucuses. I have never been to a caucus and am thinking about going. But I'm utterly unprepared. No idea how to get prepared.
My MiL makes about six kinds of borscht, most of them tied to a season or holiday. Only *one* kind gets vooshka. There's no way to spell that right--her pronunciation has a sort of ghost "r" in there, "vrooshka". In any pronunciation, NOM.
Ooh, you should make Little Ear Dumplings (I think that's what they're called. Starts with a V in Russian).

I want somebody to make me dumplings. All I've had today is a chai and a cheese quesadilla. I do think it's pancakes for supper night, though, because the game didn't get thawed in time.
Right as I was wondering if I could find some frozen dumpling that would do, I saw this on a recipe page: "There is no substitute for them." Hmph!
