It is a once-a-year thing. I'll definitely get one for Tim, but I had some king cake Saturday night and my guts are still a little unhappy about that. Maybe I can just steal a bite of Tim's.

I really wanted to get donuts for the office today, but I don't think I'll have time. Donut shop doesn't open until I'm at work, does that seem right to you?
Wish I could get doughnuts today! But I'm traveling and have no idea where the good ones would be. Plus I don't like the people I'm seeing today so no doughnuts for them!
You should tell them that! Well, think it really loudly, maybe.
The office is trying to figure out the level of air conditioning to use now that the building is mostly occupied. My first day here it wasn't set cool enough. They've erred on the side of chilly, though, and I dressed for the too warm. I guess we'll see how well I can work with my trench coat on.
I got a filled donut from Starbucks. Closest I'll get this year. But they forgot to charge me for it, so I'ma call it a win.
Also I was trying (and failing) to remember what the word/pronunciation is for paczki in the singular. But really, how likely is that to ever come up?

I had a friend who (before labor laws were particularly enforced in my town) worked making donuts from 3 am - 7 am before school. And then after school she worked in the pizza shop.
A coworker comes to me with a problem, and I can't seem to convince him that the simple, straighforward solution I proposed will work. He just keeps coming back to my cube and staring at me blankly. So frustrating. Just try it and see.
