I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I found a recipe for Lebanese Seven Spices which might be what I had in mind and certainly smells good, which I will rub on the goat, substitute leeks for onion since I have leeks and don't have onion, use some of my chicken/duck stock in place of condensed onion soup, and leave out the potatoes. I think this will work.

Meanwhile, I realize* I don't have the ground pork I thought I did, I have boneless pork chops. So those are thawing and I'll have that with some sauteed bok choy for dinner.

'* By realize I mean I actually looked in the freezer

Disney movies is a good call, SuziQ. I can't recommend Wreck it Ralph strongly enough for its therapeutic value.

I'm making this peanut stew for dinner. I'm adding kale a bit later, because I think it needs some greens.

Yum!

Crap, I keep forgetting I have kale. But I want bok choy. Sorry, kale.

I got some kale/spinich balls from TJs and both CJ and I fell in love with them. Ohhh, I have Spanikopita in the freezer. That may be lunch tomorrow.

Wreck it Ralph is FUN. I waited a long time before I watched it and then kicked myself. Tonight I've just been watching what is on tv which has been Cinderella, Little Mermaid, and now Mulan.

I'm watching the season premiere of Vikings. It's ... not soothing.

So good.

Highly recommended!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

-t, that roast sounds incredibly delicious. holy moly! African peanut stew also sounds delicious. And I'm not even hungry, I already had dinner. I mostly ate the roasted cauliflower and parsnips.

I did not grade today, opted to write instead. I wish I could take that option more often, or alternately I wish I was better about writing even on days I've spent the whole day grading.

Yay writing!

Mmm cauliflower and parsnips.

Clipping the peanut stew for later...ETA: Oh, awesome, it's meant to be made with stewing hens! I still have a few of those stashed in Mom's freezer.

I made it with only half of a leftover chicken I had had in the freezer for several months. It's still great.

I'm sure. It's hard to find recipes that are for stewing hens anymore, I get excited when I come across one.
