The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I like it, Jilli. It's very striking, and would look lovely over pink or burgundy or even a black fabric with a different undertone. I think it's drapey/unstructured enough to be forgiving.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How are you doing, Polgara?

Also, I'm catching up on the Daily Show, and John Oliver is so great. Among other reasons, calling out misogyny when talking to Lake Bell and the old white military guys when talking to Kirsten Gillibrand.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That struck me, too, Jesse. A little more pointed than I expected him to be. Which is good, I like pointed.

Jilli, my only concern about the size would be the sleeves, if they're too tight over your biceps, that's uncomfortable (as I sadly know from experience with jackets that are cute and otherwise fit ok, stupid arms of mine not changing shape/volume to fit their containers) and seems like would make for a difficult alteration - unless just opening the seam a little would work? Maybe it wouldn't be that tricky, depending on how it's put together.

Very pretty, in any case.

Yup.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh, that's a very good point. And there really isn't a good way to fix too-small sleeves.

Our wings are not tired.

I have a number of Colbert and Daily Show episodes in my queue. Too many. Just last night I finished watching the Tony Awards. Yes, I am a bit behind in clearing space. Today I have been watching the Season One of Games of Thrones between chores. I'm on E5, which works since I am on book 4 with the reading.

It is most peculiar. I swear I have never watched the show before and yet apparently the reading put forth such vivid images that it is just like watching repeats! I've watched many things after reading the books, but never had this 'I've seen this before' reaction so strongly. Huh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I don't think I'm willing to spend $2 and ep.

I often feel that way about shows, but Hannibal is so worth it.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

How are you doing, Polgara?

I'm good. I think the surgery went better this time, 'cause I'm still feeling no pain (last time I was on Vicodin by now). Just got Allyson to watch Pitch Perfect with me, which was awesome for me, less awesome for her. And we got Chinese food, yum!

My friend Jane is getting groceries for Miz ita right now, so hopefully she'll be doing ok soon too.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yes--Paula had a West LA assistance group already mobilised, Kat, so I'm cotching onto that. But thanks for the offer!
