Don't worry, I'm not gonna start any sword fights. I'm over that phase.

yes, msbelle. love does hurt when you bring little league into it.

I tell this to Noah all the time. When he bitches about having to go somewhere he doesn't want to go (Target, grocery store, etc), I point out I do stuff all the time that I don't want to do because he does, that love is about doing things that you don't want to do because the person you love wants to do it. Then he grumbles and gets in the car.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, somebody's got to do it.

Watch X-files, I mean. We ought to be able to get around somebody needing to be at work at 5:30 on Saturday. This is the 21st century.

I set up Hulu Plus on my new Roku, and am watching law and order SVU. But it's getting depressing. Tried to hang up some clothes and iron, but didn't get through much of it. Made a pile of things to take to dry cleaning. I'm about to go out dancing.

Teppy, baking cookies you can't eat is hardcore. Wow.

SEE! Love is suffering -- it's doing things you don't want to for others.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And oysters! And really good coffee!

I have a secret plan to make shrift try oysters!

Don't tell her.

Are there Buffistas who like oysters and also have texture issue/gag reflex problems? I'm asking for a friend.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I might fit. I like oysters in spite of a serious gag reflex problem (which oyster don't invoke).

brillig

Of the last 6 weekdays I did not have to be at work (my vacation is wrapping up) 4 of them have involved being at the hospital or a doctor's office having things done to Hubby or dealing with the ramifications of test results. Not the relaxing vacation I was hoping for. I hate myself for how pissy and selfish that makes me feel. And now I have to go back to work and he has to fend for himself on getting to the doctors. His daughter is wonderful for getting him to the chemo treatments, but there's all these other checks in between. He had to get a platelet transfusion today, and he turned out to be allergic to something in that particular donor's makeup. The IV Benadryl they gave him for the resulting hives knocked him out for the rest of the day. I wish he'd stop apologizing for all this.
