Even with swimming, my skin is pretty hardy. But I'm molting like a snake right now where I don't grease up and I can't reach certain parts of my back to apply lotion. Exfoliating, I can manage, but uhg. It's also getting prickly-ouchy to the point where I'm thinking of crossing that line and asking one of my locker-room friends to hit those spots. Hey, I've helped pry them in and out of recalcitrant suits/bras, right? (I do love the camaraderie of the lockerroom at my Y. There's so much support and rawness and stuff.)

I love the arms and shoulders on the women ice dancers. They've got the 'wings' on the blades, you see it when they raise their arms. (I've been startled by mine when I stretch. YAHRG SMASH STRENGTH)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

As far as I know, there is no amount of Benedryl that makes me sleepy. Unfortunately, it uses the same liver enzyme as Tamoxifen, so I've been taking Zyrtec.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My antihistamine cocktail is definitely making me sleepy (and incompetent with the typing) but I am determined to stay awake until it is time to take another dose. Now that my throat is back to normal, I am pretty sure it was swollen and that's kinda scary.

My skin is not dry, though. So i got that going for me, which is nice.

Hmmm.... so my month of allegra at night (with flonase) with zyrtec-d the next morning has been a bad idea?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You can take 2 Benadryl at a time, although it may well zonk you out, unless you're me (and, I think, Cass).

Yeah, I can take three and not blink. Really, neither does four but at that point I'm probably miserable enough from other things that I am not thinking about driving and stuff. It just doesn't make me sleepy.

Which is great as an antihistamine but sucks for insomnia when I'm told to just try a Benadryl or any of the "PM" meds that are also just fucking Benadryl. Brilliant for allergies. Doesn't make me sleepy.

Oral and topical are the same meds though so I'd be at least aware. Vaguely. Since I have a huge tolerance and no real side effects beyond 'a tad thirsty.'

I am way less cavalier when others ask for Benadryl advice. I know I am an anomaly.

Fucking work computer loses its clock when it runs out of power. Which apparently it does when it won't go to sleep because the vpn is connected. Just spent half an hour booting and rebooting it to get the time right so I can actually log in. My home computer doesn't pull this shit, and it is 6 years old, at least. And I'm officially out sick tomorrow! Fucking work computer.

"Oh, I take Tylenol pm." which, aweome for you but thats a Tylenol and a Benedryl . That's nothing but a side effect thang.

One I am often really jealous of....

Dang, sara. Has the computer tried a Tylenol PM? Supposed to help with sleep. I've heard.

I don't even.

I took Loki out on the deck, rejoicing that the predicted snow wasn't.

It just started snowing. Heavily. Goddamn.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wondermark! [link] In the missives below the comic strip, David Malki ! has set about seeking Better Olympic Narratives, and is now tweeting them. Examples:

The last practitioner of a dying sport
Little white lie on first date has gone too far
Trying to outski her past

And now people are tweeting back:

Dying father made her promise to never enter the olympics; hates dying father.
