Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Her speech was really lovely.

Good typo.

Athens, GA felt the earthquake like whoa. As a Facebook friend pointed out, it is super-funny when it's the evening of Valentine's Day and suddenly everyone you know is posting, "Did you feel that?" "I think I just felt the earth move!" "My whole house is shaking."

I'm solo to market. Weather is crap, but it isn't 3" of snow. Woohooo!

I have to decide whether to chair or not when I go out to do errands today. 90% of my neighbors hold to the code of only taking the space they cleared. That other 10%? They didn't shovel anything and muscle their cars out leaving a mess. And yes, I know who they are and they are perfectly capable of making an effort.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I decided to splurge and stay tonight at Boskone, which neatly will help me avoid trying to get home in the middle of the blizzard. Now to pack and get over there!

Aaand that was a bust. No spinach. But it cleared my sinuses .

AND I SAW PLOW ON MCKEWIN! (The street that allows me to exit the right way from the block.) I cheered them on.

OK, girding my ...something to go run all the errands.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Made it to Boskone just fine. Lots of stuff going on today.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

suddenly everyone you know is posting, "Did you feel that?" "I think I just felt the earth move!" "My whole house is shaking."

heh. I am twelve.

But more seriously, I am shocked whenever there are earthquakes OUTSIDE of California. WTF, Earth, why so skittish?

aw, man, Ellen Page. So awesome.

Yes, although I am looking forward to the day when folks don't have to come out, they just get to live their lives openly. But I realize that day is still far away.

Man, TJs after a storm is not pretty. They clearly missed a few deliveries. As a result, I'm baking chicken thighs to cut up for salads because they were out of the precooked stuff I usually get. Which, you know, is cheaper to do anyway, I just don't take the time...

I may have chopped my hair. This is what happens when you go to get your haircut in the middle of February.
