I emailed the same thing to mr. flea and he replied that Casper once peed on the floor in the public library in Durham. Given that we moved away from there when she was 4, I think that can be excused.
(While I am not super-happy about adult bodily excretions at work, they are pretty much not my problem, unlike the super-demanding but apparently sane patrons, or the obviously having a psychotic episode and also drunk woman - a regular whom I like - I spent most of an hour with last week. That sort of stuff is exhausting, and sometimes heartbreaking.)

Well, that's good at least!!
Yikes, flea. I may have lots of complaints of where I have been working (and may yet again, FSM willing and the creek don't rise), but at least I don't have to worry about poop.
Anyway, the contract firm changed their mind, they're willing to go for a regular W-2 employee, and assuming they sign the contract, I'd be making only a little less than I was when I was at Previous Employer with Previous Contracting Firm.
I'm going to make up the difference by not wearing nice clothes, though. Jeans, knit shirts, and cardigans. No dry-cleaning bills!
Ugh, nearly everyone I know in NC is stuck in their cars (and posting to Facebook about it). Apparently the forecast there was not bad, and everyone went to work, and then everyone tried to leave work at once when it started snowing 2 inches an hour. (In GA, everything has been cancelled since yesterday, so people are home and safe, but 2 people I know have trees down already.) Be safe, people!
I'm home, flea, as is Amyth. Luckily, I work from home on Wednesdays.
Snow is supposed to start in DC later this evening. I only hope that heavier-than-expected snow in NC starts a trend for this storm. Although most people around here already expect to be off tomorrow.
I have Boskone to go to this weekend. However, it's right downtown from me (easily achievable by public transportation) so the most bother may be climbing over piles of snow on my way in and out....
OK, this may only funny to me, but anyway. Since I haven't been in a romantic relationship since the first Clinton administration I've gotten into the habit of getting myself a little something around Valentines day. This year I found myself wanting Michigan pasties (savory pies with ground meat, potato, rutabaga, and onion--so good!), so I ordered myself some from Pasty Central. Pasty Central is in the Keewenaw Peninsula of MI, a place that averages 220 inches of snow a year. There's a good chance that Snowmageddon '14, with it's 6 or so inches of winter precipitation in NC, will delay my Valentine treat.
Argh Bob is stuck in Chicago even though his plane was due into bmore at 7 & weather isn't supposed to start here until 9. He's re booked on an afternoon flight tomorrow but it's supposed to still be snowing then. So I hope to see him again Friday I guess? Of course, he's stuck but at the very nice hotel his company pays for him to stay in. I'm stuck doing all the dog walks and shoveling. Which is probably good for me. Still I was envisioning a nice snow day at home with my beloved. Grump.
I'll have to make myself hot chocolate and mainline Call the Midwife season 2. (& work because it's not like my company will be closed.)
