Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Coding and Sleeping

We tried walking Gunnar for the first time last night. It did not go well. He's a very strong dog and very easy to freak out. We made it about half a block before admitting defeat. It's going to take some time and small steps to get him walking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Huffingtonpost also has an article saying:

Majority Of Brits Would Be Happy If Royal Baby Turned Out Gay, Poll Finds

Really? The government hasn't even decided to pardon Turing or not, and the rest of the gay men tormented during the same period of buggery laws aren't even up for consideration. Yes, it's population versus government, but I'd love to see that "majority of Brits" put pressure on them for things like that, rather than playing make believe with an irrelevant person.

My A/C is getting replaced as I type. I let the men in, got the cats securedc in my bedroom with food water and litterbox and then came to work. Let's home the men do not ransack my home or steal anything (I did remove all working laptops). I will go back over at noon.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The alley cat has apparently picked me as his person now - when I went out for my walk this morning he hopped up on a transformer and meowed at me for food, and then was lounging under my car in the parking lot when I left for work.

Still hisses at me when he approaches the food dish as I'm filling it, but has no objection to being petted afterwards.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

This story is so sweet:

They both look so happy with each other and at ease in their own skin. And billions of blessings on their parents for being so supportive and loving.

Well done, Lee! Good pets.

The new Even Larger Dog [link] is kind of depressed. He sits or lays by the door, looking for a way out, so he can go home. Home to the owner who neglected him--he was dirty, had fleas and foxtails all over, and she never taught him to sit or lay down on command.

Of course he doesn't know he's been neglected, poor fella. He's also been fixed, but too recently for anyone to be comfortable having him in the same house with the Diva, who is in heat. So she's in my house, destroying all of TNG's toys and shedding everywhere. FSM only knows how long this will go on.

ELG is however a very sweet fellow, and he rested his enormous head in my lap last night for a while. He's not as big as we thought: the vet weighed him at 152lbs, which is not unreasonable.

In other news, the glass guys come today to fix the windows broken in the fire. And I picked up my car last night after 2 days in the shop (and $1000 of repairs). Can I be less busy soon?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Poor, sad, St. Bernard. I just want to kiss and cuddle him.

He's really very cute and very sweet-natured. He walks very well on a leash, which is vital for a dog that size. He's just... homesick. He'll get over it, I'm sure. And he played tug-of-war a little bit last night with my sister.
