So maybe he is not wrong! Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean everyone isn't out to get you!
Seriously, I have no idea how some people become bosses.
One year positions are the devil. If I had 3-5 years experience at something, I would only apply for a one-year position if I were desperate.
I know, it's true. I think we're going to end up using the money for a consultant instead.
I mean, I had a boss who was rude and mean to us when we made mistakes (seriously, she would send us feedback emails cc-ed to the whole department saying things like, "You should know this by now, and it makes us look stupid when you forget it"), which also isn't awesome for the company, but at least it wasn't flat-out paranoia and made-up conspiracies (because we did indeed make mistakes, because everyone makes mistakes [including ex-boss, who would fly into a rage if we ever tried to point out even one of her MANY mistakes]).
oh yeah, DO NOT point out a mistake to him. I challenge him, but only backed up with facts and proof, so if he didn't need me, I am sure he would be working to get me out.
oh. I just found out that his boss took away one of the areas my boss was over.
That's a good sign?
Oh, the holiday is next Monday! I was thinking it was the 24th.
Ugh, I hate being around people like msbelle's boss socially, working for one can't be a picnic.
So boss had a reason to be paranoid today?
I think signs are pointing to them wanting a change, but I am not sure they will remove him. Which could mean he will be in my location on a more daily basis (last year he was only here a max of 2 days/week).
If I thought that it would mean the 2nd in charge would be removed I would say YAY, but they are family and that will never happen. I think it will just speed my need to explore options.
