Oh, yeah. There was this time I was pinned down by this guy that played left tackle for varsity... Well, at least he used to before he was a vampire... Anyway, he had this really, really thick neck, and all I had was a little, little Exact-O knife ... You're not loving this story.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think that is to be expected, Jesse. Did you take any time off?

Just Monday at the hospital and then Tuesday. We're having the funeral/memorial service in September, so I'll need at least one (maybe two) days then, and we get three bereavement days.

This week I have mostly scheduled work travel, attended meetings and some trainings, created a ton of new email filters, and read a lot of things.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I, on the other hand, just sent an email asking "Is there any chance that when you said this project needed to be done today you really meant any time before Monday?".

In "think I'll have Jello instead" news, I was eating a small bunch of concord grapes as my dessert after lunch, and found spiderweb hidden inside, followed shortly thereafter by the web's builder.

That must have been one hardy little sucker, having survived complete immersion during the washing process and a 6 day stay in my refrigerator. Maybe I should have let it bite me before squashing it?

Because books.

That's exhausting. Especially if you're, you know, me.

That does sound exhausting.

I have computer screen burnout from work today. Also, if sitting really kills you, I am a dead woman.

And here comes the storm. Gonna slip out to wait it out at home...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The day STILL hasn't ended, and I'm STILL at work.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Commuting to work is a little more justifiable than driving to get soft-serve.

Two hours every now and then sounds better to me than two hours every single day.
