I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

My mother is stressing about not only washing her hair, but styling it. She wanted to know if I could help put rollers in. I told her I'd try, but she probably wouldn't like the results.

Punishingly Intricate

I'm going to try not to obsess about the issue at work that's been filling me with rage and despair for the last two days.

Other than that, go up to Wilmington to celebrate my dad's birthday, maybe go to a bike swap on sunday to find a kicking around town bike. Tonight it's nails and drinking.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Going to try to make it through the day after a shitload of deadline today!!!! work was just thrown at me. Then home to collapse. However, I going to see the NT Live Coriolanus tomorrow!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I'm going out tonight with a few friends, then will be searching for stuff to do with Rose tomorrow, since M will be at an all-day training thing and the weather is looking too crappy to go to the park. We'll probably spend some time at the library -- we could use a few new books to read, and the main branch has a nice big kids section with toys and puppets.

Which reminds me, Calli, if you're looking for gift suggestions for a one-year-old, maybe a book or two? I don't know what your bookstore would have on the shelves, but I think that's just about the right age for a Richard Scarry book, with all the things to point at. Rose is still a big fan.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The same thing we do every weekend, Pinky. Shuttling the kids to soccer and swimming.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Which reminds me, Calli, if you're looking for gift suggestions for a one-year-old, maybe a book or two?

A book is always the right answer!

brillig

I'm doing revision of paperwork storage because we needed to find the name of the disability lawyer, because we got a letter from the organization managing the medicare saying "BTW, we need $30 a month towards that extra pull you're doing on your benefits or you're going to have to put up a lot of upfront money. Sorry, didn't we warn you about that?"

Still $30 a month is less than some of his prescriptions, and considering the $100,000s of coverage he's getting, it's a good deal. But we didn't need the stress. To counter, Hubby's taking strips of duct tape to his head in order to even out his "hairline". He's getting black amusement out of how much hair is on the tape.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The same thing we do every weekend, Pinky. Shuttling the kids to soccer and swimming.

That seems like a roundabout way to take over the world. Still, not a bad plan.
