The license renewal process has become insane in Florida. Birth certificate, 2 official things with the address on the license (I used car title and homestead exemption receipt), sealed wedding license(s), proof of SSN. Have to keep them illegals out ya know. Even my 21 year old son had to go though it. How many kids have a bunch of ID?

We're supposed to get up to 6" of rain! Which is awesome.

I don't have plans for the weekend. Laundry, clearing out the garage, that sort of thing are on the agenda, I guess. Probably a fair amount of kitchen time what with one thing and another. Maybe the gym? I haven't been going this week, I should get back on that horse, but I have to take one of the cats to the vet after work (just an exam, they sent a reminder) so not today.

Oh! I have to do laundry and stuff because this is my last weekend before vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Although I will have most of next Friday to clean the house, etc. -- I took the day off even though I have an evening flight.)

I need to keep up with decluttering for the weekend. Possibly going through files and shredding a bunch of papers. Maybe taxes? That would necessitate dealing with the pile o'paper on top of the unused desk, which would be good decluttering.

Oh yeah, I'd better do my taxes this weekend as well.

Oh, right, taxes. Yeah, I should at least start those.

Just submitted my timesheet for the week. Actually ended up with 5 hours worked. And those kicked my ass. Next week I may have to let folks know I'll be somewhere between 20-40 hours...no promises.

aurelia, I am so sorry to hear about your boss. Have you seen him?

msbelle, your boss is a trip. It must have been nice to sleep in though. If someone I supervised told me that schools were on a 2-hour delay, I wouldn't treat it as an "announcement", I would assume that has implications for the person arriving to work.

One of the facilities guys just walked past me as I'm standing here in the library and informed me that he's looking for someone who just walked through here carrying "a long, rifle-sized bag" under his arm. Uh, good to know?

I just finished my part of two major projects, so I'm meeting some friends for a bit of celebratory boozing after work, and then we're going to sit in someone's living room to watch the Olympic opening ceremonies. Tomorrow I have a lash and eyebrow dyeing appointment, and Sunday I have a one-year-old's birthday party. So that means Saturday I'll be walking into the local toy store asking what the heck one-year-olds like. Blocks? Balls? Drum kits?

I'm glad shrift will be re-walleted.
