whether I agree with the various wars we have started or enter is not the point. we need to financially support veterans and their families, period. Not to do so is a complete abrogation of our responsibility as citizens.

It is shameful how the US military has used people up and then washed its hands of them when it comes time to deal with the after-effects of injuries and trauma incurred while serving their country. I'd much rather a few extra bucks come out of my taxes to pay for THAT than some prototype combat drone that a Congressman's nephew gets the contract to develop.
