So yesterday I met with financial gut and I got all my previous employers 401Ks and 4013Bs rolled over into a new IRA. I had 6 different retirement things out there that I NEVER looked at. I also rolled over a ROTH IRA with a different company to him so everything will be in one place. I am feeling very accomplished and much more assured about my future. Next step is setting up a living will and Trust. Then rolling my car savings account over to a short term - 5-6 year higher earning thingy that I can access $ from should I need it. Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Msbelle totally gets to watch cartoons and eat Fruity Pebbles in her jammies for the rest of the day.
Debet is MY FAVORITE!
because seriously, what I have got to do thus far is fix IF formulas in Excel, take orders and deal with my tsumani of a desk. I have all but growled at my co-workers and they seem to think today is the day to joke around with me about helping with workload. luckily for them, it seems there are no sporks in the office. Still, if they keep it up there might be an "accident" with some office equipment.
Go msbelle! That is so impressive.
I'm once again running into the really annoying problem where the university computer system does all sorts of nonsensical things when it's asked to deal with names that include punctuation. I apparently have a very Irish bunch of students this semester, because I have five names like O'Malley and O'Brian, and each time I get a class list from different parts of the computer system, some of them have the apostrophe and others don't, with no pattern at all as to which ones have it where. So when I'm transferring stuff from one list to another, they're all alphabetized differently, so I have to do it all by hand rather than cutting and pasting the column. I've also got a few students with Al-something names that have a hyphen on some lists, a space on others, and nothing on others.

Woot! Isn't that satisfying?
I am learning a lot of stuff this week. Most of which won't make it to the page, but which is good to have in my head. But I'm tired.
That hat is VERY Shrifty and you do indeed need it.
I sensed your agreement from the future and ordered it last night!
I'm working from home this morning until the windchill is a little less brutal.
There's a wang museum.
There's a what now?
Katie says there's a penis museum. She listed that on the menu of things we might like to do.
I finally broke down and bought a proper winter coat yesterday (I was wearing lots of layers until now) so I tested it out by going onto the ice of Lake Michigan to take pictures in the -15 windchill. I was nice and warm.
You are crazy. I was colder this morning than even the -16 days for some reason. There is crazy wind out there.
But yay on new coat. I got one in the post holiday sales and it is awesome.
