Winter in Reykjavik is very dark and dreary, but places that thrive on darkness like clubs and bars intensify to a high level, and are filled with amazingly attractive people. Worth a evening of people watching.
I will do that! I'll just be there one night, and I think it's Friday, even, so that's good.
Hil, that's amazing.
Yes, total eclipse. Also, Iceland and all its wonders! I agree, we should all go. ideally, someone planny can get everything set up and I can just tag along...
My BF Katie and I were thinking about going to Iceland for the eclipse. She's very planny! She plans all our trips; I just follow her around. We should get a group of Buffistas together to go; it would probably make it less expensive per person, and there's plenty of time to put plans in order.
Seriously, we should. It would be awesome.
I'm willing to trust Katie on your say so. Otherwise I will probably end up paying some tour group to arrange things for me. Make it so.
Huh, when did I last renew my passport? I should check that.
I need to pick a vacation destination this year.
Alaska! Or Bora Bora! Or Australia!
P.S. do you need a travel companion?
Also, SUSHI and Oysters when you are in SF and MV. When is that?
eta: I am totally in for an Iceland trip
I'm in. And happy to be in Katie's hands if she is amenable.
In less than a month I'll be in Northern Ireland. It is a good year for travel.
I've got Florida in February, Chicago early April (work trip), and Ireland early May. This is lot of travel for me!
I texted Katie. It sounds like I'm pimping out her planning abilities to a bunch of crazy strangers. Lucky she loves me.
I've got Berlin and Prague in April, and back to Oxford, UK (work) at some point, too. Oh, and Lyon.
I can't wait to see everyone's pictures and hear all the stories, but I'm still going to sit with msbelle for a while and make sad faces, I think.
