I was just telling a beloved colleague last week that one of the reasons sports are so sacred to me is that it's one of the rare outlets in life where I can just be INSANE about whatever - grudges, DH, asshole players, perceived slights, and it doesn't matter.
In all other areas of my life I try to be reasonable, unbiased, nonjudgmental, open-minded, etc. But in my sports fandom I am absolutely none of these things. I froth at the mouth in fits of enraptured idiocy and self-righteousness and it's some of the largest fun I have. And none of it really matters. But all of it matters.

I love going to Cubs/Brewers games for this reason--they're the only time I ever yell stupid insults at people.

Ahhhhh...yes, this. Completely this. Thank you for putting it into words.
Had my second to last karate class until April/May. Finally called my dad to let him know about the surgery and the move.

A great reason for sure. We love to see games if possible when traveling to get to see the best/worst of the locals. Good times.

How did it go?
"Resumed" the mission while I was making dinner, so I got to hear all the story stuff, and it appears that the app did record my actual run, so all is well for my zombie training.
Also, the salad I just had seems to have been enough food. I did not really expect that.
He was actually very supportive of both. He made a point to remind me not to purchase moving boxes. Which I don't want to do, but if needed, I will.
This snow, it's so cold, is the consistency of sand. But lighter. Which makes shoveling a completely frustrating endeavor. Brooms work and then the wind...

That's a good example because almost nothing is of less consequence than a Cubs/Brewers game.
I haven't given any of my money to Exxon since '89, because I still hold a grudge about the way they handled the Valdez spill.
Sometimes not buying boxes is a false economy. If you're packing something like books, identical boxes really speed up the process.
Ginger, I'm also expecting to move again, so they wouldn't be a single use purchase.
