I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh good lord, Loki, don't do that!

Yeah, I figure, I like squash so it'll be fine as long as I don't expect it to taste like pumpkin. I am hoping I don't get any more at this point, though.

Looks like another long weekend of not really being as productive as I planned. Tired and unmotivated and feeling like petting the 14-year old newly vaccinated cat is the best use of my time...

I bet the 14-year old newly vaccinated cat it totally down with that plan, though.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Goodness. That's some impressive/disturbing Loki-ing.

Today's been cookeriffic. I made nut-free granola as a birthday gift for a nut-allergic friend. It came out really pretty, with bits of apricot, cranberry, and pumpkin seeds adding color, as well as flavor. I made an apple-walnut granola for myself. Now a Persian carrot soup is cooking, and it smells great (there's cinnamon and lemon pepper in it).

She had enough and abandoned me for a better view of the birdfeeders.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was hoping to get my walls primed today, but I think the plaster is going to take forever to dry. So the question is, totally abandon the project for the day and do my nails? Hmm.

So Pug, the cat that lives with us has disappeared. And there are pug hair puffs all over the front driveway. And he was there at least t 11:00 PM so it's unlikely he is in the garage (and when I checked he seemed not to be in there... but last time we figured out he was there by the cat poop in the clean laundry.)

Hmmmm...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Kat, I hope you find Pug.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Using a combination of credit card rewards and coupons, I just bought $180 of clothes for an actual cost of $31.73.

I don't need to do anything else today, right?

Nope. You win.
