And the instrument from hell team is displeased we handled an operational issue...operationally. We broke something, but figured out what we broke and are going back to fix it. Um, that's why you are supposed to be looking at the data? And this was a procedural fuckup (because well, it's new. There was no procedure.) It's a part of the system they know nothing about. Why the hell would be consult them?

I started the day testifying at a unemployment hearing,. I was then followed down the hall by an employee yelling at me "You're a liar. You are being paid to lie! I hope someone lies about your family!" *

what is an unemployment hearing?
An employee who resigned applied for UI, saying she was fired. I had to go in and say, No, she actually resigned.

However, I will now lie about your family: Your family is ugly and unpleasant!
Given how unpleasant and bureaucratic they make it for people applying for unemployment, something tells me it's probably not any better for employers dealing with it either.
I want to go try my new running shoes, but it is too hot outside. (It's OVER EIGHTY!! OMG!) but I don't want to do it on a treadmill because I like running outside better. One part of me is saying 'you could go tomorrow morning and run!" and another part is saying "when is the last time you actually got up early enough to do shit like that, after telling yourself you would? OH, NEVER"
