Well, did you help them with their investigation?
The team was in a back hallway with very substandard decoration, interviewing people on folding chairs. I got handed a pile of paper and told to look up the relevant computer files. When I woke up I was still trying to figure out their database access protocols and their terminology.
I had to drop my stats class because it was 8:30 Friday morning at the Law School, which was at the top of a very steep icy hill. (In Montreal, you gotta consider these things.) I could've handled one of those things but not both.
I tried to take Econ as an elective, but it was a late-afternoon class in the spring semester, which meant I had to leave my apartment to cross campus in the dark and cold. Then the teacher was terrible. So I dropped it.
I really should not eat soup at my desk. I totally spilled it everywhere, including on my dress! And then trying to clean it off with a napkin means napkin shreds everywhere. The worst/
I have a couple of mormon students who regularly talk about the terrible awfulness of coffee beverages. Ironically, they try to harass the teacher who is also an evangelical Christian. They all argue amongst themselves and, from the outside, it looks like the engagement of irrational religion-based rules.
Heh.
Though I suppose I can thank them for the actually tasty coffee substitutes I use when I'm off the coffee. (I try to do a few weeks here and there.)
You guys, I have to record this somewhere: My hair looks amazing. I've been meaning to get it cut for a month, but it gets better and better! I guess I'd been wearing it too short.
Good for you!
My hair is pretty rockin' right now too. I FINALLY found a local stylist who knows her shit. Predictably, it was in the most questionable looking salon on the mountain. It's like a shed, honest, with sliding glass doors. And giant handpainted signs that say things like MEN'S $10. She's a Navajo lady who has been cutting hair here for 22 years. She was fifteen minutes late to my appointment, and while she was there her sister was about a half an hour late to hers. But she listened closely to what I said, looked at all my reference material, asked questions about what she didn't understand, and gave me a great cut.
My hair looks amazing.
I just told David. He's giving you the thumbs-up.

Can I ask for a bit of ~ma for my good friend, L. She is having thyroid surgery today to remove some cancerous tumors. I'm having a horrible time concentrating on work as I keep thinking about her.
That is awesome, Liese. The right person is important!
