Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Like so many things, I have realized that cleaning stuff out of the basement is fine to do in little dribs and drabs. There is big stuff that will need big removal, but I just took 10 minutes and cleared out some of my grandmother's empty boxes and also a bunch of Fleet enemas that expired in 1990(!!). If nothing else, the recycling and trash barrels can only take so much. And now I have a good spot for my Christmas stuff. So that's good!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, that is the bottleneck on my box-recycling and blackberry pruning efforts, filling up the Waste Management containers. Which is fine, they are both too big for doing all at once. Theory of Constraints scores again.

Because books.

How do Fleet enemas expire? Wait, maybe I don't want to know.

We have culled so much stuff through moving, and yet there's always more stuff to get rid of. I don't know how that happens.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm wearing contact lenses for the first time in years. It feels kind of weird.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I'm pretty sure my mattress is trying to kill me.

Shoots flames? Grew fangs? Did you find the "it's-not-a-bug-it's-a-feature" spring-loaded blades?

Because books.

ALL OF THE ABOVE.

(It's old. It's no longer supportive. I feel like I'm climbing out of a pit every morning, and this morning my back was really adamantly opposed to the whole thing.)

Only had a 15 minute delay, but Loki joined and it was a near thing! First floor vac'd and mopped. Gotta eat something.

Too soft mattresses make my arms go numb and hips ache. Even pillowtops on firm ones. Apparently, I need to sleep on boards.

Because books.

Yeah, my left hip is seriously mad at the mattress.

...and the recycling bin is already full. Oops.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Motherfucker. Tripped in a parking lot and sprained my ankle.
