I'm going to a math conference in a few weeks, and a lot of job interviews are conducted there. People who are applying for jobs and schools or companies that are hiring both sign up through a central system, and applicants submit applications, and then we get a notice if someone wants to interview us. I just got an interview notice from a company that I never applied to. It's a military contractor. I had my profile set so that any companies, even ones where I didn't apply, could see my CV. This is odd. I guess I might as well go to the interview and see what happens.

I've also got a phone interview today, for a university job that I think I'm pretty well qualified for, but I'm sure plenty of other people are, too. Based on how their scheduling thing is set up, they seem to be interviewing at least 40 people, for what the ad says are "several" positions, so I really have no idea what my odds are.

I'm working from home today. I even got dressed and put on makeup because I had meetings this morning. Now that I'm done with my meetings, I'm working from bed.
Although I'd really like to nap, I think I may alternate working with cleaning because the dust situation in the apartment has gotten out of control.

Zen, please take note over the next few hours how the posters who have met me and spent any amount of time with me at all will merely laugh or stay silent on this issue. Not that I don;t think I am nice, it is just a special qualified often barbed nice. Or at least that is how I am feeling about it today.
wrangling ALL THE PAPERS continues in my office. I am making progress, but not as fast as I would like. I want to have file boxes filled and ready to go to storage today, but it may be tomorrow.
