I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Birmingham schools cancelled school for Monday. On Friday night. They're supposed to have the temp drop 40° overnight tonight, rain turning to snow and not get above freezing again until Weds.

Yeah, Nashville's in a pretty similar situation. On Friday they closed the city schools through Tuesday (!), which means Rose's daycare is also closed through Tuesday. Still no word about *my* school. It's hard to know whether the roads will actually be bad tomorrow or whether it's just people freaking out over the cold. The snow right now sure looks pretty, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In life or on Downton?

In life!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Vanderbilt just cancelled classes, if that tells you anything, Kate.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, that roasted broccoli soup is gooooood. Mmm.

Hmm, that's a good sign! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I know this is inappropriate, but I really don't understand why Michelle Dockery never hoists up her boobs.

Maybe she just likes them non-protruding. Clothes fit better if they're flatter.

They're so low! Maybe they are just low. Clearly she doesn't mind.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

She also seems to have a long torso. They seem the right disance above her waist, butlow for her shoulders.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Five loads of laundry washed AND put away (plus the three clean loads that have been sitting in baskets since they came out of the dryer, also put away), bringing home yet again the COMPLETE DISARRAY of my present wardrobe organizational system. But I can't get to fixing that until after I have the garage ready for a new laundry sink. Priorities.

I was feeling bad about all the stuff that didn't get done today (there is always a lot, just because there is so much that needs doing, but the urgent drives out the important), but that's not insignificant.
